Self contained accommodation at our property means all the luxury and standards of a world class hotel, minus all the frills that add to the cost - and sometimes simply get in the way of your own personal downtime.
With a self contained apartment you have your own space, your own facilities and most importantly your own privacy. No annoying knocks on the door from housekeeping in the morning and no rush to get to breakfast before it ends – how good is that?
It sure is. All linen and towels are supplied, as are basic tea & coffee making facilities. We also provide toiletries including soap, bath gel, body lotion and shampoo/conditioner in your ensuite.
Our standard rates are based on a weekly housekeeping service. If you would like daily housekeeping service just let us know and we’ll arrange it for you. You will need to add $25 per night ($50 for 2 bedroom aparments) onto the base quoted rate.
All of our standard rates are for accommodation only. Guests can either bring along their own provisions or purchase them from the village just a few minutes drive away. If you'd rather have someone else do the cooking you'll find several fantastic cafes close by that make the perfect destination for that late, leisurely breakfast
The Falls is located amongst 4 acres of landscaped gardens with a central water feature a primary focus of the overall design. Our apartments offer a variety of outlooks including courtyard, gardens, parkland or forest. Our Loft Studios offer some of the best outlooks given their elevated position, however all apartments have a pleasant aspect.
The answer all depends on the configuration of our apartments. We have 17 two bedroom, two storey apartments in four small blocks. Given the clever dual entry design of the apartments each 2 bedroom apartment is capable of being individually let as 2x separate double/twin share apartments so we can actually offer up to 34 double or twin share lettings.
The number of apartments and their design is a direct result of the thoughtful approach taken during the planning process. We’ve heard it said many a time since opening that the result is a development which is wonderfully integrated, and sympathetic to the surrounding natural environment – once you’ve stayed we’re sure you’ll agree.
To whet your appetite we’ll let you know that every apartment features one of those divine, deep hydrotherapy massage spa baths for 2 (with 18 jets), a romantic real flame open fireplace, reverse cycle airconditioning (heat & cool), TV, DVD player and CD stereo system.
Take a look at our detailed “Apartment Features” page for a complete run down on what is in each of our apartments.
Purely accommodation! Recreational facilities tend to result in noise which is something we want to keep as far away as possible . We are an easy 3-10 minutes drive to tennis courts, golf courses, gymnasiums, swimming pools, restaurants, cafes & bars etc etc.
Each apartment has its own parking space located right near the entry door for maximum convenience.
Any food provisions for preparing your own meals (there are also local village stores and a Coles supermarket in Katoomba if you’d rather not bring it up with you).
A range of clothing from light to warm – as a mountainous area 900 metres + above sea level the weather can change quickly and it’s good to be prepared! Wet weather gear is advisable if you’ve got space in the car. Suitable footwear if you’re keen on checking out some of the great bush walking trails.
Any CDs or DVDs you’d like to listen to/watch (you can hire DVDs from the local store if you have Drivers License & Credit Card)
All of our apartments are strictly non-smoking to protect the furnishings & fabrics and keep a crisp, clean atmosphere for our future guests. Covered outdoor areas in each apartment are available for smokers.
So as not to be disappointed we would strongly suggest that you book as far in advance as possible. Peak times include most weekends, all dates throughout June, July, August & September and other holiday periods – if you haven’t booked in advance you may not be able to get accommodation on arrival.
First of all you’ll need to check out the Booking Terms & Conditions page. Once you’ve got all that sorted just give us a call on (02) 4757 8801 (+61 247 578801 outside of Australia) or use our booking enquiry form online to request a reservation.

No, we don’t have one onsite. As a self contained venue all of our apartments feature either basic kitchen facilities (Loft Studios) or full kitchen facilities (Studios + 1 & 2 Bedroom Apartments) for guests wishing to prepare their own meals.
If you’d rather have someone else do the cooking you’ll find restaurants & cafes to suit every taste & budget within 3-10 minutes drive of our property. There are also several places that will deliver straight to your apartment if you don't want to venture out. Ask us for suggestions.
There sure are - the greatest concentration of eateries in the Mountains are to be found between Wentworth Falls & Blackheath (3-15 minutes from where we are by car). Visitors to the mountains will find all bases are covered - from casual cafes to the most indulgent a la carte restaurants.
The Conservation Hut Café is an easy 10minute stroll and is open from 9am to 4pm daily. With great views over the National Park it's always a popular option with our guests.
Wentworth Falls village is only a 4 minute drive or easy 1½ km stroll away and offers a range of options including the excellent Blue Mist cafe, 'Fed' gourmet deli, Il Postinos, Canton Palace and Sada Thai. With a great new Italian menu 'Seven' licensed restaurant in the village is another of our firm local favourites.
The next 3 villages (Leura, Katoomba & Blackheath) each offer their own amazing array of dining venues and you'll find something for every taste, budget and occasion - we're happy to offer suggestions for you during your stay.
Wentworth Falls is the first of the upper mountains villages of the Blue Mountains. It is only 5 minutes by car from Leura Village and 10 minutes from the main tourist hub of Katoomba.
The village of Wentworth Falls is considerably less commercialised than Leura or Katoomba and retains much of its original character as a result. What it does not generally have is the abundance of bustling crowds you may experience at peak times in Leura or Katoomba.
Call us biased but we reckon Wentworth Falls is the place to be!
You’ll be wanting to check out our Maps & Location Page for more information!
Every month of the year has its own unique character & benefits, but no matter what time of year you visit you won't be disappointed.
In summer the mountains offer a wonderfully temperate escape from Sydney's often oppressive heat, particularly of an evening - a mountains summer night is simply magical! The mid-seasons of Spring & Autumn tend to put on the most spectacular show and are always a firm favourite as the many local parks & gardens are looking their finest.
Although winter can be quite chilly, you'll be fine as long as you bring the right clothing! Winter is actually our ‘high season’ in the mountains. The chance of a snowfall, the crisp & invigorating air, and the opportunity to cosy up with a loved one fireside are all reasons people flock here during the colder months. Many people also come up to experience Yulefest, or 'Christmas in July' at the place where it all began over 20 years ago (for more information on the Yulefest story we recommend you visit the original home of Yulefest – The Mountain Heritage)
That is really anyone's guess given the rather odd weather that seems to be occuring recently. Generally speaking the climate of the Blue Mountains is more temperate than the Sydney region. As a rule of thumb you can knock 2°C off the Sydney temperature for every 300 metres increase in altitude (we’re around 900 metres ASL here so around a 6-7°C drop).
During the winter months (June, July, August), the average temperature in the Upper Mountains is around the 5°C mark, while in summer (December, January, February) the average temperature sit around around 18°C. Bear in mind these are averages though – based on Bureau of Meteorology stats there have been recorded temperatures over 35°C and as low as -8°C !
Check out our activities and attractions page for suggested things to do during your visit to the Blue Mountains. There is plenty to explore locally – those guests lucky enough to have 3 or 4 days should get the most out of their visit, being able to explore the surrounding areas. Make sure you allow enough time so as not to be rushed.
The trusty old automobile still wins hands down for offering the best range and flexibility of touring. You can basically go where you want, when you want and set your own itinerary along the way.
If you’re coming up by train, don’t fear - it is still quite easy to get around. The local taxi cab service operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As of March 2008 the hiring charge is $4.60 including booking fee, with each kilometre costing approximately $1.79 (add 20% between 10pm and 6am) – taxi’s are also available for tour use. Their phone number is 4782 1311.
During the day regular bus services operate between the major townships. There are also day tours available and hop-on, hop-off circuit tours that give you easy access to the most popular attractions.
